OK. I have to get something off my chest that's been bothering me for quite some time now.
If I see one more over-doting Latino parent pacifying their 9-year-old with a bottle I am going to kill someone or possibly many someones***. It is ridiculous and kinda sad, and IM feeling kind of ignorant because I never knew how common a disparity it was/is until I moved to NYC.
Here's what the Academic Pediatric scholarly journal says about this:

*** Readers- Please don't comment about my racist ways. You should know by now that I am an Equal Opportunity Hater. Duh. We're celebrating differences here, people. Your own Corocet loved his binky (did anyone else call pacifiers that?) but gave them up willingly around the tender age of 3.
